LASERLAB-EUROPE Participants Council Meeting 2005

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 3-4 February 2005

A reception was organized on the evening before the meeting with an after-dinner presentation by Professor Robert McGreevy, Coordinator of NMI3 ("Integrated Infrastructure Initiative for Neutron Scattering and Muon Spectroscopy"). Robert McGreevy gave an overview of the structure and practices of several neighboring I3's, and also presented some ideas on the future development of the instrument I3 in forthcoming EU Framework Programmes.

Following the meeting on Feb. 4 the participants had the opportunity to go on a lab tour around the Laser Centre of the Free University of Amsterdam which was organised by the hosts.

LASERLAB's Scientific Advisory Board held its first meeting on February 3 also in Amsterdam and gave an evaluation on the achievements of the LASERLAB activities so far as well as recommendations on future proceedings.
