LASERLAB-EUROPE Participants Council Meeting 2004
29-30 April 2004, Berlin, Germany
The First Participants Council Meeting was held in Berlin-Koepenick. In the evening of the first day of the meeting a topical dinner "Optics in the new European Union" was organized with presentations by:
- MinDir. Hartmut Gruebel, Federal Ministry of Education and Research: "Optical Technologies for the 21st Century: The German Program"
- Dr. Eckhard Heybrock, German Association of Engineers VDI: "Optics goes public: a scientific and industrial strategy process and its implementation"
- Klaus Nowitzki, Managing Director EOS: "Optics in the 7th Framework Programme: EOS initiatives and visions"
- Dr. Christian Kurrer, European Commission, DG Research: "FP6 - Research Infrastructures Action - Towards FP7"
In the morning of the second day, separate meetings of the Access Board, the JRA Board and of the Management Board were held before the participants got together for the plenary session again.
